Have not done the plaster mask thing for a few years because of
scheduling problems.... and I found the dust was really messing up my
breathing.

One thing we did that helped a lot, was to buy premade molds to build
the masks on. I think I would do this lesson out of doors next time to
cut down on the dust in my classroom.

We put Gesso on the masks and painted them with acrylic, and added found
objects for interest. One 4th grade teacher talked several of his
students into giving him their masks, and he displays them every year in
his class.
