Enola, (I always think of the Enola Gay, any relation?), one of the
things I value about the www and this listserv in particular, is the
immediacy of the response although, like everyone else, I had have
negative and positive reactions to my postings.
So far on this listserv, and I have lurked, posted, received much of
value, (should have been able to earn an MA in DBAE), we have had
debates/rants, about almost everything under the sun. I am sure that
others will add to this list, but here goes: Mac vs. IBM for graphics,
spelling ad nauseaum, generalists vs. specialist, WHAT IS AN ARTIST?,
The seasons as lesson plans/events as lesson plans...Themes like
Pumpkins et al., for lesson plans...Plus, use of SIG files, and the list
goes on. Oh whoops, I forgot Christians and Lions.
However, this listserv is the most vibrant, stimulating and interesting
of all that I have sampled, and I wouldn't miss it for the world. You
will find many good friends and lessons here.
Charlotte BY THE WAY, I DO HAVE A SPELLCHECKER, AND IT DOESN'T READ
LATIN, AND IT DOESN'T DO DBAE!!! GO FIGURE
