Dear Jen: I do have slides, but often I prefer to wait till the kids have
started their production work and it's calm, then I walk around to
each table to group--whoever can see and flip through some marked
pages in an art book--to illustrate my point, or show examples, or a
style. You can only hit 5-10 pieces, but the closeness of the teacher
makes kids sort of listen hard and pay attention. They really seem to
like it. You will have to repeat the same stuff several times but the
personal attention aspect makes it successful. The big problem for
me is getting busy and forgetting a class or two. Sid

PS. Hopefully this message will show my correct address which is
sidmill.edu. If it doesn't will you please write and let
me know--I've been having some trouble lately--all my own stupid
fault, but I'm hoping that I've solved it. Thanx
