you can do a dung firing. Collect dry cow pies (I know you can also use
sheep so I assume any kind would probably do--not sure). Put pots
under a bucket--coffee can if small enough--seal off the edges with
dirt or sand if you want black pots--leave air spaces if you want
regular low fire colors(depending on clay body) Stack the cow pies
around the bucket beehive style and light it. It takes about an
hour--the ground stays hot for a long time so be cautious when
turning over your buckets. Pretty exciting.
