Embarrassment

Last year one of my art education groups here at
Monash University was discussing themes that could
be used in Primary (=Elementary) school art programs.

We went round the room: "Under the Sea."
"Great!" I said. "Think of all the images kids could
create! Perhaps it could even lead to a group mural."
"Out in the Bush."
"Another good idea! Well done, folks. Are there any
more?"
"Sex," said one woman at the back of the room.
"Wellllll," I said, "I guess you MIGHT be able to use
that as a theme, perhaps only in senior classes, but I'd
suggest you'd have to think very carefully before you
used Sex as a theme."
"Sex?" she cried, "I said INSECTS!!!!!"
