I am interested in gathering funny experiences that other Art Teachers have
had to laugh a bit and possibly make a book in the future. If you are willing to
share your wild and crazy happenings we can all at least have humorous times
as we read them returning from school!
Here is one of mine :
My first grade Art class was studying Picasso and we all drew with crayon
and painted with watercolor washes his little boy with a butterfly net. The
pictures came out wonderfully and we made a display for the rest of the school
Several days later the father of one of the boys came in to see me and I
must admit I was a bit apprehensive. He told me that his son had come home
and told him that they had done a picture in school that day by the famous
artist Pablo Picasso which the father found remarkable. His son went on to
discribe the painting and tell about how he made it ending by saying "yeah,
today we made a picture by Pablo Picasso but mine was better!"
Please send an experience or two and we'll all have a chuckle.
