Just some thoughts on the discussion initiated by BLIND EUGENIE:

Schools don't cause kids to grow up to be anything, their paths are
influenced by many factors.

Teachers' personalities, methods, and classroom structure are secondary to
their honest passion for learning and teaching. Students know when we're
trying to put one over on them.

This 'net' thing is rife with poor grammer, bad syntax, half-baked ideas
and, yes, rambling. That fact only points out the need for more disciplined
thinking and writing (and proofreading), not more freedom to ramble. The
challenge of education is to prepare kids to wade through the BS and find
something valuable.

Information is not knowledge; knowledge is not wisdom; wisdom is not truth.
