The North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts is
proud to announce the addition of a comprehensive unit on Japanese
art and culture to our web site.

These materials were developed in conjunction with Sun & Star
1996, a Japanese art and cultural festival that will take place
primarily in Dallas and Fort Worth in the Fall of 1996. Though
we initially developed the materials for use in our summer
teacher institutes, we also wanted to share the results of our
research with anyone who was interested.

The Japanese materials may be accessed directly at:
http://www.art.unt.edu/ntieva/artcurr/japan/

or through our home page (under Art Curriculum):
htp://www.art.unt.edu/ntieva/

Thanks to all on the Internet who provided me with leads,
references, and resources. I would your appreciate feedback
on the materials, as we are very concerned with presenting
accurate and significant content.

I look forward to receiving your comments.
