Dear Rachel:
Welcome to the listserve, if this is your first question. You might
consider the following - I have been working with a high school English
teacher this past year. She taught "The Grapes of Wrath" and I suggested
looking at Dorothea Lange's "Migrant Mother" in the course of the lesson.
She reported back, that the art enriched the literature and vice versa. In
fact, she like the lesson so much that the other sophomore English teachers
have incorporated the art as well. The art work gave another dimension to
her lesson. Good luck and enjoy!
