I teach in a public elementary school with 600 students. The district has
aprox. 35,000 students in k-12.

My allowance per student is $5.00. However I usually spend around half that
and maintain a very high quality program with outstanding production
examples.

I feel there is a lot of waste in the Public schools and I want to be a
good steward of the tax payers dollors. Some of the ways I save money is by
buying in bulk through the district and soliciting businesses to donate
scrap materials such as foam core and mat board. Also streaching a lesson
with lots of DBAE and getting the kids slow down in the race to finish will
cut down the numbers of producton thus using less materials.
