Jayna, Could you share some of your reading strategies. We use "Art and
Man" in class and I have shown them how to find target words, for
example bold and italic and how to read the first sentence of the
paragraph to get the main drift of the paragraph. I have them jot down
words they are not sure they understand and then we discuss them in
small group and then large class. I have a Vocabulary wall we use in
some units too. I do agree, teaching them to read for meaning seems
difficult sometimes. I was wondering if you or anyone out there has
strategies for reading on the web?
Thanks, Renee
