Ij actually cried over a Jackson Pollack...the first one I saw in the
MOMA on a trip to NY AFTER I finished the 800 page biography that
someone put in my hand. I could not put it down. Never ever thought I
would want to read a book on Pollack, but it was spellbinding. It went
into so much detail about all of the artists from that period, as well
as Lee Krasner, of course. And I have to admit, I was pretty danged
ignorant about all of them before reading it. I had always just called
him Jack the Dripper. I got so caught up in it, I wanted to slap him
and hug him at the same time. I'm sure many people did. I could not
believe myself when tears rolled down my cheeks over those drops and
drips...so many stories in each drip.
