Sometimes I compare the P&E's to English...
it takes lines to create letters that become shapes, to create words, etc....and then the way they are put together for sentences, phrases, paragraphs, etc.
> I explain the elements as the basic building blocks of a piece of artwork and the principles as the way in which the artist puts the elements together. I often use the analogy of the foundation of a house and the framework. Linda in NC
