She is graduating with a degree in education - really wanted to teach art,
but didn't have the time to complete a double major in studio (school didn't
offer art ed).
She is going home to Texas, and wants to know what she should do to become
an art teacher (graduate work.)
I have been out too long, not familiar with different state programs, but I
know you guys can help - I will compile your replies for her -
PS - we visited MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) last weekend - I
had asked if anyone knew anything about it in a previous post...
What a great artists' community... if you have high school students that
really want to focus on a degree in art this would be great. They also seem
to have a lot of scholarship offerings - for NAHS, Marie Walsh Scholars,
Scholastic Silver and Gold portfolios etc.... I would assume many of the
art schools do the same -
