The movie I rented once that had Van Gogh coming back to life in modern times
was a real dog of a movie. I thought it was terrible.
A good one, however, that has similarities, but is much, much better,
especially for young students, is one called "Vincent and Me." It follows the
story of a young girl who goes away to a summer art school, and the story
twists include a mystery, art forgery, and finally a "dream" sequence where
the girl meets Vincent back in his own time and tells him how beloved his art
has become.
This one is great for middle school-aged students.
