I have had a student helper in my classroom. The first year I had the
most brilliant helper one semester, then came the useless one the next
semester. He really only wanted to get out of class. I think a screen
process with recommendations from other teachers would be a good idea.

Subject: Student helpers
Has anyone had their secondary students help out at the elementary
elementary teacher would like a once-a-week helper. I am concerned about
student burnout/boredom, safety in transfering, appropriate credit.
