We just went to the Museum of Printing History last month with fifth
grade! It was INCREDIBLE. I can't believe a museum like this exists.
Kids loved it. They each got to print a page from the Gutenburg Bible
to keep, and they got to print a copy of the Declaration of
Independence. They were fascinated by all of the different kinds of
presses, and the fact that they let the kids USE them is amazing. I
can't believe the relic that the Chronicle was using up until 1970
something. We did the miniature book collection activities, the
headlines area, and the maps area. It was awesome! Are parents allowed
to drive on public school field trips?
