My fourth graders made pillows that I think highschoolers would also enjoy.
We made two different stencils and then stecil printed them in a pattern on
muslin (we took one piece and folded it over with cardboard in between so
that we would only have to sew three sides). We then stuffed/sewed them and
made tassels to add to the corners. They were a big hit with students,
parents, and teachers.

Subject: best textile projects for HS?
Hi all, I'm still in my first year teaching high school art students and I'm
looking back on the curriculum I presented this year -- textile arts are
sorely lacking! Probably because of my inexperience with them!
Do any of you have any favorite (inexpensive) projects that you'd like to
share?
Or is this a recent discussion and I should look through the archives?
