Dear Ms. Roopal,
I would be interested in establishing a chapter in my area. Can you
give me more information?

> Hi there,
> I wanted to tell you all about a new nonprofit I am starting called
First Artists. First Artists' mission is to inspire creative expression
by providing art supplies to children from low-income families.
Basically, I work with art supply companies and encourage them to
provide me with a discount on their wares. I then start First Artists
chapters around the country (there are 10-12 right now) and the chapters
do local fundraising and then use their funds to purchase these
discounted art supplies and make grants of them to preschool and
afterschool programs serving low-income kids. The main art supply
company I am working with right now is Sax Arts & Crafts, and they have
been absolutely fabulous and generous in their affiliation with First
Artists. I am working on connecting with a few more art supply
companies so that my chapters have the largest selection to be able to
offer to programs in their area.
