I am a Slovak and I was taught by my grandmother. We use the ends of pencils-
a straight pin pushed into the eraser head works very well. Also you can try
sewing needles with the threading end down. It's important the kids be very
close to the wax as it dries quickly - so make sure you have enough set ups
in the room. If you plan on doing multilayered colors, it may be easier for
you to coat the egg with a crayon vs. painitng wax on it and destroying your
brushes- or you could use qtips- will cover faster- obviously cheaper
