Check out a book by Jane Dunnewold, 'Complex Cloth. She does a great
job of explaining, step by step, a number of ways to add surface design
to fabric, including applying photos to cloth. Jean Ray Laury has a
book, too. I think the title is 'Images on Fabric' . Laury's book is a
little older.
