Nice idea about the gifts, however, there are many children who do not have a
mother or mother figure and it would be wise NOT to do this with small
children...this is also, a holiday...perhaps not religous in nature but
nonetheless a Hallmark moment....past experiences have made me very wary at
consumerism in the classroom and what popular culture deems acceptable....anna
