Alex,
Besides passion for art, you need to have great classroom management skills.
Art is an activity class with a high degree of resources being distributed
and collected on a daily basis. This is the stuff that can drive an art
teacher crazy!!

Go observe a veteran science teacher's class; someone who does exciting labs
with the kids. Science teachers have the same 'burden' of have handing out
and collecting resources and materials as art teachers! Ask this person for
some tips and tricks.
