Haiku's in calligraphy-non messy india ink

Hey everyone:

I'm starting the third graders on writing haiku's in pencils and then in
calligraphy speedball braod pens. Wish me luck! Thanks for all your help
developing a promising lesson. A pre-school teacher told be to pour india ink
into baby food jars hot glued to a piece of plywood. They have to physically
pick up the ink with the wood to dump it onto the floors! I'm having the
students wear smocks or old tee shirts and giving them a thorough lesson in
calligraphy before I start them on this two day project.
