Hi, I have done marionettes in a papier mache unit. Each peice was made separate and attached with a paper clip used as a fastner at each end and then attached with flexible wire.
A long time ago I made marrionettes with my middleschoolers out of model magic, bolts (used for weights and for the attachment of the rope) and lengths of rope that were attached to the bolts- then we formed the model magic over it for: a head, body and feet. we used fishing line which attached all parts to the wooden cross carrier. They were painted and dcorated- Very cool but quite expensive. (I had a small class of 15)
