I made display panels 4' x 8' using stryofoam insullation panels from Home
Depot. The panels cost about $6.00 each and I made feet using 2" x 4" x 8'
cut in half and 1' squares for the base. The panels were screwed to the
"feet" at 2' up so the panels sit at about 6' feet high. The first year I
used them I covered them with fadelss paper (in 48" width) and topped them
with a corregated cardboard boarder (like a crown molding). This year a
parent donated enough fabric for me to make slipcovers for each panel. They
look fantastic and we have used them for several things, including backdrops
for play murals and sets. I made 12 panels with feet for about $180.00
