Closed mindedness about the art program, at least the room part, cost me my job. I fit there better that he does, but because I disagreed with him and people stuck up for my program he saw me as a threat and let me go. Many people are very angry over this and of ! course our union cannot do anything because of my part time years. I am very disappointed at the union, the super, and the school board. With one exception, I've taught all the board members children. It's things like this that make me want to change careers. If I don't find another teaching position I just may have to do that. I know this doesn't give you a good feeling, but unfortunately, it's reality for me. Good luck.
