Kimberly - I stayed in a Youth Hostel in Anchorage Alaska and it was a
wonderful
experience. No 4 star hotel but inexpensive and friendly. During busy
seasons
the men and women were separated into separate houses and you might room
with strangers but our situation was good. We stayed together as a family -
four
bunkbeds - the kids sleeping on top. We were required to pull the garbage,
sweep
the kitchen floor and something else. Each member of the family had a chore
to
do. Our nightly fee was only $14.00 Do not know if the ones in Washington
operate
this way - plus I did this 13 years ago. Roberta
