I got a Job

I got a job at Smith Elementary in Lamar CISD (in Rosenburg/Richmond outside
of Houston). They are waiting for a couple of staff members to complete
their paper work but I’m probably going to have a 5th grade Gifted and
Talented classroom. The billboard that greeted me as I drove into town on
Old Main says a lot about the district. It was promoting the art program in
elementary schools with children’s art.

BTW If you are looking for an elementary art position - contact Katy ISD in
Houston. I was at their job fair this weekend and 3 or 4 elementary schools
had art positions posted.
