My 4th and 5th grade classes are working on self-portraits in Andy Warhol's style. We took pictures using the Sony digital set on solarize, then blew them up on the overhead. Using really wild colors, mostly complimentary color schemes, others too- Think we will end up using wallpapers for the background. As I circulate, I keep hearing, "I'm going to get my Mom to frame this and put it up in my bedroom." That is, if they can get them away from me. Linda W. in fully Spring Oklahoma

I did a project this year with 2nd through 4th grades. I took pictures of the kids with a digital camera and ran them out in black and white. I cut out their faces and then cut half away and pasted them down. The kids had to draw the other half of their faces. If they were right handed, I cut away the right half of their face, etc. The project turned out beautifully and the kids were amazed at how well they did.
