There is a lesson on the Web on "amate-look" paper. I have made amate-like
paper by crumpling up grocery bags --dipping into ink wash ---rinsing--then
drying flat/ironing. Students could do amate style painting (scenes from
nature or celebrations) or could color on the dry paper with Crayola
construction paper crayon.
