I taught 1st-6th for 4 years before taking on high school. I saw about 28
classes each week for 40 min. a week. I agree with what your saying, but
I'm sure it's no surprise to you that most classroom teachers consider you
nothing more than a "break" for them (in that you may find support). The
real problem will be finding the time in the schedule. It will take away
from another subject's time. Perhaps if you plan some integrative lessons
you can justify your added time to the powers that be.
