Jennifer,

Susan is right. Dont be so hard on
yourself. Maybe he hadnt considered that about himself before and it surprised
him. My third graders always seem to be changing their minds about what
they think they are "good" at doing. I think I wanted to be a Vet when I was in
elementary. I think encouraging him to even consider that avenue might be enough
to catch his attention. Anyhow, he will probably chew on what youve said for a
while and it can only encourage him to look around at the world and himself
more.
