this retreat was offered through the Arkansas Arts Council

and the department of Arkansas Heritage

The instructor was
Linda Phenix
of Chrysalis Dance Company
P. O. Box 980398
of Houston, TX 77098-0398

Linda Phenix is on the dance faculty at Rice University in Houston
she also holds a B.F.A. in visual arts

I am sorry I can not tell you where she is going next
I really just wanted you to know that if you saw her name on a billing,
in my opinion, her workshops would be well worth going to!!

this retreat was for anyone involved with the arts
the participants included
visual arts teachers,drama teachers, dance teachers from elementary through collage
artists in residence
and members of the arts council
including visual artists, musician, and a story teller

this diversity in the group really added to it's richness
there was not getting bored here
as the exercised flowed from one medium to another

for me the retreat offered growth in classroom ideas, artistic freedom and personal joy
I actually went through withdrawal after only two days

definitely need more dancing!!
