Would love a copy

I did SS with HS kids woth great success on paper using a stretched screen and
cutouts with contac paper. We used clear contac on the back of the screen so
they could see where their design would go. All were successful making a 5
color print and doing the registration. These were quite complex and technical.
Last print was a photo emulsion. I've done photo emulsion with t-shirts too and
found the process highly successful with Speedball fabric inks. Set with an
iron. Createx makes a good fabric ink too. I ordered screen from Graphic
Chemical. Forgot the address, but I bet they have a web site. All screen inks
came from Sax.
Kids had a ball mixing colors as I would not let them use directly from the
container. We used babyfood jars to hold excess and reseal for the next kid.
Taught a cool color theory lesson in the process and let them make mud in a few
cases.

Another T-shirt idea is to use freezer paper and a colored shirt. Only 100%
cotton ones work with this process. After the image area is irones on, We
trigger sprayed with a mild bleach solution until satisfied with the discharge
of color. Rinse in vinegar solution, peel off freezer paper, take home and
launder. Excellent results. and almost instantaneous. When my son was in the
championship wrestling tournament we did shirts for the whole team. All very
unique. Had a teacher that wanted something for her hubby for a motorcycle
race.
We did him a red shirt with a great cycle on it. Got the mud spattering with a
ladder and trigger sprayer. Kids all loved it. I use this almost every year
with my fibers kids. Takes a bit of organizing but very successful.

Have fun--back to the grindstone tomorrow
