FALL letters to parents work.......I explained my schedule of 40 minute
classes and that whole scenario so they realized their children had art ONE
time per week. In this letter I informed them that due to the time
restraints that the CLASSROOM teachers are responsible for getting the
children ready to come to art. (of course, I had this agreement with all the
K's, 1's and 2's teachers and any others too) This worked for me. Teachers
were also informed that HAND WASHING was an impossible task for our 40
minutes to include and that they were to plan a few minutes time when
returning from the artroom to their classrooms for handwashing!
If I had to put on smocks, and also wash hands at the end.....forget
it..........I'd have been in a REAL loony bin!
