at the beginning of every school year I send a"welcome to the art room"
letter home to every student at the end of the first week with their first
newsletters from teachers. It explains the policy that because we use
materials that can stain each student is responsible for bringing their own
smock to class. Nosmock, not my problem. I also expalin my rules in the note,
that there is a n annual art show, and a list of things their kids can bring
in to me at any time during the school year.
