There are two kinds of Iron Nails that I've used. I got them at Home Depot.
They come in a tube like caulking and we used a caulking gun to put it on.
One is sticky, the other is more viscous and very sticky. Our tiles went up
on shiny tiles and so I used the extra thick glue. Our tiles were also not
square and even. We had, sometimes 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch showing between
tiles. I worried about the outer edge being even and spaced the tiles
accordingly. The grouting was messy and they did it the day a school tour for
school choice came through. The principal almost had a cow. Turns out,
though, the parents liked what the kids were doing and didn't at all mind the
whole hall full of watery white grout. After the kids cleaned the hall was
cleaner than it ever is!
