The 2-pinch pot fish idea also works well with older
students who have a hard time centering clay on the
potter's wheel. If a pot goes lopsided, I have had them
convert it into an open-mouthed fish. Just place it on
its side and add tail and fins, add texture for scales,
and they don't feel so bad.
