Susan,
        I had this happen once, years ago when I fired green ware
and my glazed bisque ware at the same time. Gases from the
green clay must have effected the glazes. But three of the pieces
won awards at scholastics, so it was one of those fortunate
accidents.
        I think sanding and refrying with or without new glaze may fix it.
