How about just telling the parent this would not be a realistic expectation,
then let her know which day her daughter has art and ask her to always wear
old clothes. You could also send home a schedule of upcoming projects so
she'll know when to expect messy projects. You could also suggest she send a
plastic apron to school. Sometimes no matter how much you cover them up, they
always find a way to get dirty.
There is NO WAY you can call every parent everytime you do something messy.
We all try our best to keep clothes clean, but, you know, dirt happens! I
always tell my kids that's the fun part of art, getting dirty. JH
