        It is also a good idea at the elementary level to involve the
classroom teacher. At my school most teachers send home a weekly
newsletter. When I need something done, the teachers are willing to add my
blurb to their weekly list of "to do's." At the beginning of the year I
tell the students that art class is not a fashion show--it's a learning
laboratory. Students need to wear appropriate clothing for art.
