Hi Arties,
I am the lurker who teaches college, and I treasure your comments, using them often for my own "kids." Now I am requesting your suggestions. I am attending a week long class at the University of New Hampshire this summer. From July 7 through 14, I will be in "Lighting Bootcamp" for an advanced lighting class for architects, designers, etc. Good stuff on fiber optics, theatre lighting, etc.

Since I am a West Coast woman, I have little knowledge of what to see and do in New Hampshire and environs. After Bootcamp, I will be taking a week just for myself to see what I can see. I plan to rent a car and make my own stops and plans. Since I teach History of Architecture and Furniture Design, I plan to see some architectural greats and visit museums. Automobile Club guide in hand, my plans are to see some tourist hot spots. However, I also want to see the treasures that are known by the locals.

Does anyone have any suggestions for those treasures that are not on the tourist path that they can share? I always appreciate your insights, and now I would love to hear your favorites.

Thanks everyone!

Lori
