In a letter November (it doesn't say what year) he states to Theo:
"Here is what I would like to exhbit, 1 and 2, the two Sunflower pendants, 3,
the ivy,4, the orchard in blossom (which Tanguy is exhibiting at the moment)
with poplars crossing the canvas, 5, the red vineyard, 6, wheatfield,
sunrise, which I am working on at the moment."
The book says" One of these six pictures found a buyer, The Red Vineyard. "
It says also that the self-portrait was bought 15 months earlier by a London
gallery. It doesn't say which one.
I don't know how accurite this is. Like I said, it would be interesting to
research. Perhaps you high school teachers could use this question as a
research paper for your students? JH
