Connie,

If it helps any I can tell you that Lackland is in a beautiful area.
I grew up an Air Force brat and then married Air Force. Of all the
services the Air Force takes the best care of its recruits and is the
most nurturing.

When you go to visit take advantage of one of the best small museums
in the world. The McNay Museum is in San Antonio and is exceptional.
Hacienda style the art and architecture are outstanding. Mrs. MacNay
(can't remember her first name) visited the Armory Show as a child and
fell in love with impressionist painting. She married a Texas
cattleman and later they struck OIL! She collected and collected and
collected and left her home to house the collection and the pumping
oil wells to fund it.

Anyone from San Antonio who can update this? It has been years since
I was there. Every time I send any one to the museum who is traveling
in that direction they tell me it is an outstanding experience.

It won't be long until graduation and you can fly to see her.
