My absolute favorite lesson is one I do with 7th Grade. I put together a
power point presentation of Cinncinati's "Big Pig Gig" with pictures of the
pigs, NY cows, Rhode Island "Mr. Potato Heads", etc. Then I have them make
two pinch pot bowls, throw in a few clay chunks, and form together to make a
rattle. Then I turn them loose to create a pig of their choosing. I get
sunbathing pigs, flying pigs, football pigs, etc. Great fun!
