Help please - HS Label Design (for cans)

Hi all,

Just wondering how anyone who's done can label design has approached
designing the two joining ends of the label. We're actually going to
approach this as a collage/montage (the only computer-generated part will
be the text; sadly we don't have enough computers in our room yet to do a
more computer-intensive approach) and I've just realized I'm not quite
sure, beyond using tracing paper/overlays (which I imagine is how we'll
have to go), how to explain to them how to make the composition work ALL
the way around, since they're designing it flat & then wrapping it around.
 Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
