Dear Group,
I'm a long time reader and recipeint of many of your fine ideas. I need your help in an emergency situation. I broke my hip playing tennis 10 days ago. The sub needs help. I will probably be out for a month or possibly the rest of the semester. I teach high school art with 3 sections of art comp, 1 draw/paint and 1 ceramic class. There is not a class text. The sub has no art background. I am really stuck as to what the ceramic students can do. I have some ideas for the others, but am too tired to really put them on paper yet. I just got out of the hospital today and the sub will probably call be by weeks end. As this was a surprise, nothing is in any type of order. The supplies I have most on hand are cardboard, paper, glue, some paint, crayons. Something long term would be good. I know someone out there has something that would work. I'm still weak from the surgery so I'm trying to put all out of my mind until the weekend.
Thanks for the help now and the wonderful support you've all been to me in the past. I hope to go to the conference next year and meet you. By the way I', just 53, in good health and had a bone density on my wrist in January (it was perfect), now I find out that is not a good indicator. I've also taken calcium for over 20 years along with lots of other vitamins.
