HI all
I have often told my students about Van Gogh only selling one painting in his
lifetime, but recently I read (on-line somewhere) that he actually sold two
works of art. Also, I remember a teacher telling me that after his death, Theo'
s wife wanted to burn his work. Any hear differently? We all like to give our
students the correct info. so I'm just checking.
And in light of the "I'm not good at art" I also tell them that Van Gogh drew
for a year before picking up that paint brush. I have a nice video that is
narrated by Christopher Reeves. Anyone else use that one? I think it is by
Crystal Productions.
