I teach 9 - 12 (I'm the only art teacher, our school has 1100 students)

Lucky me, I only have to teach art HOWEVER, I am the Junior class
sponsor(complete with fundraising responsibilities), the Prom coordinator -
which means I do it all, and our Prom is HUGE, $2500 - $3500 done by me and
my classes(and the Juniors we can beg to come help! Boy is this another
story! )
But 'NO WHINING!!' Plus I have the Art Club and National Art Honor
Society(our first year!!!!)

I teach 2&3D - drawing, painting, printmaking, calligraphy, ceramics and
alittle computer - I have to admit I don't know much about it yet... we have
Painter 5, Adobe Photoshop, and FLASH on 4 computers in my lab. I need a
crash course in FLASH and Painter 5...I keep hearing about 3D Studio Max,
FLASH does animation too, but I haven't had a chance to try it - I went to a
computer educator's convention in Feb. but the class was horrid - an all day
class taught by a person who could use it but not teach others - better luck
next time..

Kids like the computer to play with, but I haven't had a serious student
since last year, and he MOVED :-P

You have to be able to do it yourself before you can teach it...however I
bought a set of 3 videos off ebay to walk you through FLASH - the computer
teacher has them now and I'll use them this summer!!

Glad to have all of you out there - you're the best!! Deb W in west Texas
